After the tragic loss of 13 year-old Coppell resident, Taylor Storch, during the family’s spring break vacation, the family was impressed by the importance - and massive need - around organ donation. They established Taylor’s Gift Foundation with a mission: increase organ donor registrations to Regift Life, Renew Health, and Restore Families.

 Taylor’s Gift Foundation raises money for three things:

• Legacy Gift program provides aid to those touched by organ donation. Helping in times of need with basics like rent, food, utility bills, and other expenses
• Scholarships to high school seniors who live beyond themselves... we call it “Outlive Yourself”
• Education and registration of organ donors

A few facts about organ donation:

• Over 124,000 people are waiting on a transplant.
• 18 people a day die waiting on a transplant.
• Someone is added to the transplant list every 10 minutes.
• Every major religion considers organ donation a selfless act for another.
• Even if your license says you are a donor, check that you are in the database. Go to TaylorsGift.org - it takes less than 90 seconds.
